Dopo essere salita alla ribalta su Youtube con cover di classici del blues e del rock e aver collezionato 500K iscritti, Laura Cox è diventata  la chitarrista e cantante con il maggior numero di visualizzazioni (oltre 105 milioni) nella scena rock francese e internazionale. La visibilità su Internet è stata seguita da un grande consenso da parte della critica e degli appassionati di rock, attirando l'attenzione con il sorprendente secondo album Burning Bright (2019), il primo ad essere pubblicato a livello internazionale da earMUSIC in collaborazione con l'etichetta francese Verycords.

"Head Above Water" contiene 11 grandi canzoni rock piene di energia e di grande personalità. Registrato agli ICP Studios di Bruxelles da Erwin Autrique, è stato masterizzato dal pluripremiato Ted Jensen (Eagles, Norah Jones, Green Day).
