“After the Peawees/Detroit Cobras tour in 2019, Mary asked me if I wanted to try writing some songs for the Cobras. During the pandemic, Rachel and I spent months sending each other 60s soul stuff we loved. In "You'll Never Be Mine Again", I tried to put into music and words what she had told me she was going through at that time. After we lost her, I almost forgot about that song and never thought of recording it with the Peawees. While we were in the studio the guys insisted on giving it a chance. We laid it down and then got the idea to invite Mary to close the circle by adding her finishing touch to the guitar tracks”.
